Descripción de la oferta

Role and Institutional context

Fundació Sant Joan de Déu is seeking a Proposal Writer for European Social Innovation Projects to support the ideation, design, and development of project proposals in the field of social innovation. The selected candidate will join the SJD Social Innova Programme, contributing to the preparation of high‑quality proposals that address the social challenges faced by Sant Joan de Déu’s social and healthcare centres.
SJD Social Innova is a cross‑cutting programme aimed at fostering transformative social innovation across its social and healthcare ecosystem. The programme drives initiatives that generate measurable impact for people in situations of vulnerability, working through a portfolio of projects aligned with four key impact areas: Employability, Housing, Care, and Rights. SJD Social Innova supports SJD’s social and healthcare centres throughout the entire innovation cycle—from identifying challenges to designing, implementing, and scaling solutions—ensuring their adoption within SJD centres and their influence on public policies.
The person we are looking for will be responsible for assisting Sant Joan de Déu’s social and healthcare centres in identifying ideas, conceptualising, and writing proposals for competitive funds (mainly European), supporting the delivery of evidence‑based solutions to the realities they address daily.

Key responsibilities

The main calls—without excluding other funding sources—are those of the European Commission, such as the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI), the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme (CERV), the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), Horizon Europe, and Erasmus+. Other relevant sources of funding include Social Research or Conecta (La Caixa), and AGAUR calls, among others.

Based on this funding landscape, the selected person will carry out the following activities:

  1. Internal scouting: Stay informed about the activities of the different social innovation stakeholders within the Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem, maintaining a deep understanding of the interests, ideas, needs, and project portfolio of SJD Social Innovation. Ensure that this portfolio is aligned with the trends and expectations of funding agencies.
  2. External scouting: Maintain in‑depth knowledge of appropriate funding frameworks and agencies (international, European, national, and regional), as well as key players in the social innovation sector, the programme’s impact areas, and emerging trends. Align these external opportunities with the capacities and interests of the Sant Joan de Déu ecosystem.
  3. Project application: Provide professional support to SJD’s social and healthcare centres in their participation in competitive calls. This includes conceptualising and writing social innovation projects that meet the expectations of funding agencies and respond to the needs of SJD centres and institutional priorities. It also involves developing the core components of project applications, such as defining the consortium, preparing budgets, addressing eligibility criteria, and compiling the required documentation.
  4. Networking and positioning activities: Identify and monitor networks, actions, and initiatives related to current and future trends in social innovation. Represent the organisation by attending conferences, information sessions, partnering events, and other relevant meetings.
  5. Capacity building and collaboration: Contribute to energising the SJD social innovation community by strengthening stakeholders’ capacities—within SJD and in the wider ecosystem—in social innovation, and promoting increased collaboration among them.
