Main tasks
The candidate will join Health Technology Assessment in Primary Care and Mental Health
(PRISMA) Research group (https://www.irsjd.org/en/research/36/health-technology-assessment-
in-primary-care-and-mental-health-prisma) with the goal of giving support in stastistics tasks to
the research group.
PRISMA research lines are focused in health interventions designing and assessment and health
economics, specifically, preventive strategies, drug use and adherence and healthy lifestyle
interventions focused on high prevalence diseases which also have social impact as mental
cardiovascular diseases. PRISMA research group has research expertise in several research
techniques as real world data analysis, economic evaluation and qualitative research.
The candidate will join the project “Effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the Initial Medication
Adherence intervention: cluster randomized controlled trial and economic model” founded by
ERC Starting Grant. The candidate main task is the support and development to all the statistical
tasks involved in the project and other research projects of the group.
Other research projects where PRISMA is involved are:
· Drug adherence estimation and assessment Real World Data.
· Cost of illness studies
· Health intervention economic evaluation
· Health policies assessment
· Qualitative exploration of reasons for medication non-initiation in paediatric population
Main functions:
The main functions will be related to provide methodological support in all their stages,
which includes:
· Study design: selecting suitable types of designs, sampling, strategies, power, effect size, and sample size estimation, etc.
· Data management: creation and manipulation of databases (SQL, dplyr,…)
· Pre-processing: exploratory data analysis (detection and imputation of missins (mice), outliers, standardization and normalization (tidyr)
· Modelling and statistical analysis: supervised and unsupervised learning: classification, regression and dimension reduction techniques.
· Visualization of results: ggplot2
· Communication: RMarkdown, shiny.
Transversally, the candidate should help to give advice and development of research projects and train clinical and research staff
