The Fundació Privada per a la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu is an entity created in 2002 to cover the research activity that is carried out, both in the biomedical and social sphere, at the Maternal and Infantile Hospital of Esplugues, in the Parc Sanitari de Sant Boi de Llobregat and in other centers of the Hospital Order San Juan de Dios - Province of Aragon San Rafael.

Job description

We are looking for a data scientist and engineer to join our team!

You’ll help us with the development and deployment of machine learning models, as well as in real-time data visualization for the Artificial Placenta project.

Responsabilities:

  • Development, deployment, and analysis of Machine Learning models, based on clinical research data.
  • Explore the possibilities of our data. We own time-series data, image/video, as well as free text.
  • Code useful data visualizations for our real-time web dashboard, so that they provide useful insight to the medical team.
  • Suggest points of improvement for the tech stack as well as for the experimental setup.
  • Develop ETL scripts for real-time data extraction on medical devices, if necessary.

Requirements

 

- Bachelor’s degree in data science and engineering, mathematics, computer-science or similar.
- Previous experience developing and deploying Machine Learning models.
- General knowledge in modern web development. Knowledge in React is a plus.
- Some experience working in cloud-based environments (Google Cloud, Firebase).
- Be a fast learner with an analytical mind.
