The Fundació Privada per a la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu is an entity created in 2002 to cover the research activity that is carried out, both in the biomedical and social sphere, at the Maternal and Infantile Hospital of Esplugues, in the Parc Sanitari de Sant Boi de Llobregat and in other centers of the Hospital Order San Juan de Dios - Province of Aragon San Rafael.

Job description

Since 2020, the Foundation (FSJD) gives support to Sant Joan de Déu healthcare and social centres to promote and develop social innovation projects.

 

The Social Innovation Manager will give support to project leaders in developing and using effective solutions to overcome social issues, accompanying them in developing innovative competitive national or international projects and directly participating in social innovation activities (co-creation, participation, impact evaluation, knowledge transfer, dissemination).

The Social Innovation Manager will work directly with the social centers and project leads to define a strategy (inception, evaluation, impact and scalability) to develop social innovation projects and will be in charge of managing the projects during the implementation phase.

We are calling for candidates with a background in the social innovation field with experience in co-creation processes, knowledge management and project management.

The person we are looking for must be proactive, responsable, creative, flexible, empathic and service-oriented. He/she should be comfortable working on long-term strategic plans as well as day-to-day project management tasks. We look for a teamplayer with excellent communication skills. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the proper implementation of social innovation projects (from work plan to reality).
  • Get involved with the assigned projects and participate in social innovation activities:
    • Lead co-creation and participatory activities
    • Contribute to define the impact strategy to ensure that projects are transformative.
    • Conducting projects evaluation and monitoring activities.
    • Fostering the knowledge management activities related to projects’ activities, outputs and outcomes.
    • Foster scalability
  • Get involved with the assigned projects and participate in project management activities:
    • Gantt chart follow up.
    • Daily management activities.
    • Interface with stakeholders
    • Economic follow-up.
    • Economic and technical reporting.
  • Definition and implementation of capacity building workshops and trainings.
  • Standardization of products/processes/ and learning experiences produced,
  • Social awareness raising strategy definition and implementation.

 

We offer:

  • Permanent employment within the International Projects Office at Fundació Sant Joan de Déu.
  • Trial period of 4 months.
  • Preferably immediate hiring.
  • Working day: Full time (37,5 hours).
  • Location: Esplugues de Llobregat next to the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.
  • Economic conditions according to profile and knowledge provided.

Requirements

  • University degree (preferably in Social Sciences, Engineering or Business Administration)
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in social innovation field and/or monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Proven experience in dealing with knowledge management activities (such as documenting lessons learned and developing knowledge management outputs, learning process evaluations, identification of indicators for reaching successful outputs …)
  • Knowledge of transversal tools and methodologies of co-creation dynamics, design- thinking, data management…
  • Familiarity with EU funded projects and project management (ranging from “EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI)”, “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme (CERV)”, “Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF)”, “Horizon Europe”, “Erasmus+”)
  • Strong organization and time management skills, prioritise and organise project workload and meet time-critical schedules
  • English proficiency
  • Excellent report writing skills
