The Fundació Privada per a la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu is an entity created in 2002 to cover the research activity that is carried out, both in the biomedical and social sphere, at the Maternal and Infantile Hospital of Esplugues, in the Parc Sanitari de Sant Boi de Llobregat and in other centers of the Hospital Order San Juan de Dios - Province of Aragon San Rafael.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated professional who wishes to start or further develop a career in the management of European and international research and innovation projects. The selected candidate will join the International Projects Management team, whose mission is to support and ensure the proper implementation of projects funded by European and international programmes.

The position will support the administrative, financial and legal management of projects mainly funded by the European Commission (Horizon Europe, EU4Health, ESF+, among others). Projects are primarily in the health and social fields and are led by research groups from Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and Sant Joan de Déu social centres.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Liaise with funding institutions and management of the Grant Agreement negotiation stage.
  • Provide administrative and financial support to the Principal Investigator (PI) and project teams.
  • Review of project agreements (Consortium Agreement, Third Party Agreements, Subcontracts).
  • Budget planning, financial monitoring and follow‑up of international projects.
  • Preparation of financial reports and audit processes.
  • Management of the time sheet application.
  • Ensure the correct use of resources in line with funder rules and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal support units (Pre‑award, National Post‑award, Finance, HR, Legal etc.).
  • Attendance to meetings, information sessions and participation in relevant networks or working groups.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Education
    • University degree in Management, Administration, Economics, European Studies, International Relations or a related field.
  • Skills and knowledge
    • Strong interest in the management of EU‑funded research and innovation projects.
    • Professional working level of English. Working languages: Spanish and Catalan.
    • Willingness to learn EU funding rules, procedures and project management tools.
  • Added value
    • Previous experience in project management or in the health sector valued.
    • Basic knowledge of cross‑cutting issues such as ethics, regulatory matters, IPR or data management.
    • Experience in coordinated or collaborative projects.
  • Personal skills
    • Progressive autonomy and sense of responsibility.
    • Analytical mindset and problem‑solving orientation.
    • Proactive and constructive attitude.
    • Ability to work with deadlines and prioritise tasks.
    • Good communication skills and user‑oriented approach.
